Spencer
picked up his third rookie of the week honors of the season while pacing the
Greyhounds' offense with a combined three goals and eight assists. The
Davidsonville, Maryland, freshman scored a pair of goals and assisted on two
more in the 10-7 victory at Georgetown with one of his goals counting as the
eventual game-winner.
He
then had a hand in half of the Greyhounds' 14 goals Saturday against Bucknell.
Spencer racked up a career-best six assists and also scored once in the win. He
had two caused turnovers, as well, on the ride for Loyola. This season, he
leads Loyola in goals (14), assists (23) and points (37) through nine games. He
is tops in the Patriot League, fifth nationally and first among national freshmen
in assists per game (2.56), and his 4.11 points per game are second in the
League, 15th in Division I and also tops among all freshmen.
