Naomi Parker, 18, a recent graduate of Rockbridge Academy in
Crownsville, placed fourth in the Rotary District 7620 4-Way Speech Contest
held May 9 at the district conference at Hood College in Frederick.
The daughter of David and Lisa Parker, of Davidsonville, Parker
won the Annapolis Rotary Club's local contest and then won the semi-regional
contest held in Glen Burnie in April before advancing to the district level.
She received a scholarship and a certificate
Her speech had to
incorporate the Rotary 4-Way Test, a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide
for Rotarians to use in their personal and professional relationships
