Mackenzie Edwards is on the University of Hawaii water polo team roster. She is a 2012 graduate of South River High School in Edgewater, Md where she lettered four years in swimming. She was a two-time team captain and placed at states in all four events she competed in. She was county champ in the 50-freestyle and also a six-year member of Naval Academy Aquatic Club for water polo. She was the 2008 Junior Olympics MVP, 2010 and ’12 National State Challenge Champion, a two-time USWP Academic All-American, a four-year National Honor Society member and honor roll student.
Mackenzie was born in Alexandria, Va, to Mark and Lucinda Edwards of Davidsonville. She intends to major in travel industry management.
