Barry R. Newgent, 73, died May 4 in an airplane crash near Suffolk, VA. He is the loving husband of Kathleen Newgent.
He is survived by daughter-in-law Yvonne Newgent, his siblings, Doris (Harold) Barbour, William Newgent, Andrew (Tina) Newgent, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons Thomas and Douglas Newgent; a sister, Janet Layton; and a sister-in-law Lynda Newgent.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 9, at the Way of Faith Assembly of God, 8800 Arlington Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22031. Memorial contributions may be made in Barry's name to the Way of Faith Assembly of God, for the Newgent Family Educational Fund.
