Killarney House will sponsor the Clean Green
poster contest offering prizes of gift certificates $75,
$50, $25 to the first, second, and third place winners.
DACA will match these amounts with cash prizes. The
contest is open to students in grades K through five at
Central, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Lothian, Mayo, and
Traceys and the Summit School.
Homestead Gardens will provide shrubbery and
plants to green up the Expo’s location and will publicize
Expo at its Flower Show.
Mike Selby of G & G Outfitters - Pinnacle Promotions
will provide the reusable tote bags that DACA will give to visitors.
The Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company will
provide gift seed packets to be included in the tote bags.
Boy Scout Troop 454 and the Cub Scouts will hold
the flag ceremony to start the program, accompanied by
Mrs. Fidyk’s Honors Band and Senator Ed Reilly will
address the Scouts and Cubs at the flag raising and will
present a new Maryland flag to the school. The Scouts
will staff an exhibit and collect tattered flags for proper
retirement. Don’t treat the American flag like garbage!
Soles4Soles—recycling! Bring your worn, cast-off,
or pretty good shoes you are tired of. Melissa Stanton
will collect used shoes, regardless of their condition, to
be refurbished and distributed
FREE Shredding service available.
Food by A Little Taste of Italy.
Music at noon.
