William Palmer Passes Away

     William Albert Palmer, "Bill," a lifelong resident of Edgewater, died February 11 under Hospice care at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
     Bill was born December 17, 1953 in Annapolis to the late Anthony and Dorothy Palmer and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Annapolis. Bill graduated from the University of MD with a Bachelor's degree in horticulture and worked as a respected Greenhouse Production Manager at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville; retiring after 32 years.
     Bill was a self taught organist who enjoyed collecting organs and making decorative wreaths and planters for family and friends.
     In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas A. Palmer. He is survived by one brother, Raymond A. Palmer of Edgewater; two sisters, Toni Ann Fitzpatrick of Ft. Pierce, FL and Peggy Palmer of Edgewater.
     Family and friends are invited to Bill's Life Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 17.
