Dist. 33 Delegates Primary Election

For the House of Delegates,  Davidsonville is in District 33, which stretches from Sandy Point, north to Glen Burnie, west to Crofton and south to Riva. There are three Delegate seats, including an open one being vacated by Del. Ron George, who filed Tuesday to run for the GOP nomination for governor.  George’s legislative district was redrawn into District 33 in 2012. He was elected to represent District 30.
Incumbent Delegates Cathy Vitale, R-Severna Park, and Tony McConkey, R-Severna Park are among the ten candidates competing for the three spots.     Voters will pick three candidates for each party in each primary.
For Democrats, that means Tom Angelis of Davidsonville, Henry Green of Arnold and Kostas Alexakis of Arnold will have no opposition until the general election.
In the Republican primary, Vitale and McConkey will face Jamie Falcon of Cape St. Claire, Jeff Ferguson of Arnold, Jeff Gauges of Severna Park, Nora Keenan of the Broadneck Peninsula and Sid Saab of Crownsville.
