John Mandish took over as DAA football commissioner in 2012 and rather than maintaining the staus quo, he embarked on programs to put the DAA football program on a new level. He established the "Pillars of Leadership" program and a new safety program limiting the amount of contact in practice as well as replacing all football helmets with new ones.
On Thursday night, Feb. 20, John will receive the Vince DePasquale Youth Service Award at the 60th annual Touchdown Club of Annapolis Football Awards Banquet at the Double Tree hotel in Annapolis. There is a nice long article about John at:
