Florence Lehnert Passes Away

     Florence M. Lehnert of Annapolis, died peacefully on February 21 at her home.
     Florence was born May 5, 1930 to the late Mary Louise & William McNally in Washington DC. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. Following graduation she worked as a stenographer for The Central Intelligence Agency.
     She met her beloved husband of 63 years, Ervin, when he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. They married and moved to Silver Spring and then to Davidsonville to raise their family.
     She became a member of Davidsonville United Methodist Church in 1965, where she sang in the choir for 35 years. She also became a member of Davidsonville Homemakers Club, where members enjoyed swapping homemaking tips, including recipes. She enjoyed classsical music, collecting old classic movies, cooking and serving her family delicious meals. Her family was her passion.
     Florence is survived by her husband, Ervin Lehnert; her sons, Rick Lehnert and his wife, Mary Beth, of Verona, VA and Barry Lehnert and his wife, Suzette, of Davidsonville; her grandson, Justin Lehnert of Staunton, VA; and numerous friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
     Friends are invited to Florence's Life Celebration from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 West Central Ave., Davidsonville.
