Ola May Hopkins, 84, of Davidsonville, died on January 30, after a short battle with leukemia.
She was born November 4, 1929 in Washington, DC. A graduate of Upper Marlboro High School, she was the valedictorian of her class. After graduation she worked as a secretary for patent lawyers in Washington, DC until her marriage to Roy Hopkins in 1951. After her marriage, she and her husband, Roy, owned a "pick your own" strawberry farm in Davidsonville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roy, who died in 2002. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Betty Clark of West Virginia; two cousins, Dawna Able of Georgia and Nina Poole of Virgina; and a nephew, Montee Frazee.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, at the Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 905 Galesville Rd., Galesville, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 3.
