CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK PAT SPENCER, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., A, Davidsonville, Md.
Spencer had a stellar collegiate debut, tallying two goals and two assists for a total of four points to help the Greyhounds to an 11-4 victory at No. 7 Virginia to open the season. The rookie was involved in both of Loyola Maryland’s first two goals, sending a pass to teammate Zach Sirico for the first goal of the game and then netting one himself just minutes later. He scored his two goals on six shots and also had three groundballs. Spencer’s two goals also marked the most by a Loyola player in his collegiate debut since Stephen Brundage tallied a pair on Feb. 24, 2001, in an 8-7 win over Delaware.
