Former Davidsonville Gator Kellie was a three-time All-American at North Carolina, earning second team honors as both a junior and senior. In 2002, she became the program’s all-time leading scorer with 222 career points and 169 goals, marks that stood for a decade. She still holds the school record for single-season goals (62 in 2002) and set an NCAA tournament record with eight goals in a first-round victory over UMBC.

Kellie Thompson Shiley Remembered
The Kellie Thompson Shiley 5K and Family Fun Run, is being held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept 23, at the Chesapeake Exploration Center’s Cross Island Trail on Kent Island. More than 400 runners have signed up for the event, which will benefit the fund established to help support the Shiley children.
