James Owens Passes Away

   James "Jim" Michael Owens of Davidsonville, MD, formerly of McLean, VA, passed away on September 1, 2013 at the age of 83.  He was born Sept. 29, 1929.
    Jim attended Holy Cross Grade School and Central High School in South Bend, IN.  He graduated from the University of Miami in Miami, OH., and received a Masters Degree from the University of Washington.
    He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Young; brother, Thomas E. Owens; and brother, Robert J. Owens. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

    Jim was an American hero, dedicating his life to our country with six years in the U.S. Navy/Navy Reserves, and more than 30 years of federal service in the CIA.
    Jim thoroughly enjoyed skydiving and skiing.

    A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue (Route 214), Davidsonville, MD.
