Grant Maloof CAA Player of Week

RICHMOND, Va. -- After a career outing in a huge Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) win on the road, Towson University senior midfielder Grant Maloof was selected as the CAA Player of the Week. The conference office made the announcement April 22, 2019.

Maloof, who hails from Davidsonville, Maryland, racked up a career-high six points in the No. 13 Tigers' 14-12 win on the road at No. 20 Delaware Saturday. The middie stuck the Blue Hens for five goals, scoring on all five shots on goal he took.

Maloof added an assist along with the game-winning goal. The South River High School product was a force on the extra-man, drawing several penalties and making the Blue Hens pay with a pair man-up goals.

The CAA issued Co-Rookie of the Week honors this week, awarding Drexel's Ross Blumenthal and Gabriel Procyk of UMass.

Towson wraps up the 2019 regular season with a trip to the City of Brotherly Love. The No. 13/No. 13 Tigers take on Drexel this Saturday for a noon faceoff at Vidas Field.

Seeding for the upcoming CAA Tournament will be determined after this week's games. The field is set with Towson, Delaware, Drexel and UMass. The 2019 CAA Regular Season Champion will host the league championship on Thursday, May 2 and Saturday, May 4 for the title game.
