Dogwood Acres Opening New Spa

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD – Kurt and Audrey Reichardt couldn't find the perfect place for their black Lab Casey could be safely boarded and still have ample outdoor time and personal attention. So the couple decided to start their own pet retreat in Davidsonville in 1997 called Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat.

The couple dedicated themselves to their new business and surrounded themselves and their four-legged clients with a dedicated and loving staff of more than 40 pet attendants. There, they board dogs and cats, offer dog daycare, and salon and spa services at Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat. But the Reichardts determined that there was a need for their services elsewhere, too.

They recently broke ground on their 12,000-square-foot facility in Stevensville on Kent Island that offers indoor and outdoor space with junior suites, luxury suites, couches, patios, and a water park. The dogs love their pool area in Davidsonville so much that the owners hope to expand this amenity in Stevensville
