Nick Mazza of Davidsonville will play midfield on the Loyola University lacrosse team this coming 2016 season .
In 2015 Nick was a sophomore at CCBC Essex. He missed eight games with an injury, but still earned NJCAA All-America Second Team honors for the Knights... Also earned All-Maryland JUCO and All-Region XX First Team recognition... Scored 17 goals and had 20 assists in 10 games... Tallied five goals and three assists against Northern Virginia C.C. (3/28).
In 2014 while a freshman at Penn State, Nick Made his collegiate debut for the Nittany Lions and played in four games... Took seven shots, three on goal, and scored one goal. Before College Nick Earned five letters at The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Maryland. He was a three-time Under Armour All-American, earning the honors in 2011, 2012 and 2013, helping the Cougars to five Maryland Independent Lacrosse League titles (2009-13). He was named to the All-MILL First Team four times (2010-13) and earned All-Metro honors from The Washington Post and All-State honors as a junior. He was ranked 44th by Inside Lacrosse among incoming freshmen. He participated in the Under Armour All-American Senior Showcase in 2013 and was a two-time All-MILL First Team golfer (2010-11).
The son of Frank and Dana Mazza was born in Baltimore and has younger brother Jonathan and a younger sister, Lia.
