David Morrison Passes Away
David Allen Morrison, a 43-year resident of Davidsonville, MD, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was 80.
Born September 28, 1934 in Green City, MO, to the late Alta Leonice Beall and Allen Delos Morrison. David worked for the U.S. Postal Service as an electronics technician. He served in the U.S. Army and was a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Elks. David enjoyed golf, pool, gardening and home improvement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Clute. David is survived by his wife, Yvonne Morrison, whom he married on April 20, 1957; three sons, Michael of Dickson, TN and Edward and Daniel Morrison, both of Davidsonville, MD; a daughter, Lynn Christian of Palm Springs, FL; two brothers, William Braden of Greenbelt, MD and Donald George of Columbia, MD; two brother-in-laws, Edward and Patrick Moore; five grandchildren, Christopher Christian of Davidsonville, MD, Michael Morrison, Jr. of Dickson, TN, Leah Morrison of Lewes, DE, Marylee Morrison of Arlington, VA and Daniel Morrison of Davidsonville, MD; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, September 29 at 2 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greater MD Chapter of the Alzhimers Association, 1850 York Road, Ste. D, Timonium, MD 21093.
