Doris Louise Hittle went to be with Jesus on May 1, 2015. Doris died of congestive heart failure at her home in Davidsonville at 92.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of fifty seven years, Quentin Louis Hittle and two sons, Steven Quentin Hittle and Quentin Louis Hittle. Doris is survived by one son, Winterson Hittle of Davidsonville.
Doris was born on May 25,1922 to Winterson and Ruth Hardesty of Harwood. After graduating from Annapolis High she married Quentin Hittle of Davidsonville, where they lived on the family tobacco farm. Doris was a wonderful wife and mother. In her spare time Doris enjoyed gardening, going on bus trips with her sister Mary Suit and watching Oriole baseball.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Tuesday May 5 at the John M.Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD. Services will be held on Wednesday May 6, 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Road, Crownsville. Interment will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake
