DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — During the weekend of Oct. 25, a section of MD 450 between Ridges Gateway and Crownsville Road/South Haven Road will be closed to allow crews to install new, larger reinforced concrete pipes that will help accommodate a greater volume of water during heavy rains.
The closure will begin at 11:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and run through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28. During the temporary closure, motorists will be detoured to US 50/US 301 (John Hanson Highway) and MD 424 (Davidsonville Road.) Approximately 8,000 motorists travel on this section of Defense Highway every day, so motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time.
