The car that
crashed into a convenience store in Davidsonville had been reported stolen,
Anne Arundel County police said Monday.
Charges are pending against the driver,
identified as Derrell Lamont Smith, 44, of Upper Marlboro, Marc Limansky, a
police spokesman, wrote in an email.
Zaheer Ahmed, manager of the store, said repairs to the small building are expected to take two to four weeks. The car came to rest completely inside the building. “It was on top of the cash register,” he said.
