Pat Spencer Drafted By Bayhawks

The Chesapeake Bayhawks landed one of the most prolific attackmen in recent college lacrosse history in the first round, taking Loyola-Maryland star Patrick Spencer with the seventh overall selection.
Spencer has amassed 306 career points and is on the verge of becoming Loyola’s all-time leading scorer. The Davidsonville resident is just six points shy of surpassing Gary Hanley (311, 1978-1981).
Spencer is enjoying a huge senior season and has already totaled 40 points on 18 goals and 22 assists. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Boys’ Latin graduate just moved past Duke’s Jordan Wolf (2011-2014) and Siena’s Tony Asterino (1978-1981) into sole possession of 13 th place on the NCAA Division I career points list.
“Patrick Spencer has been the best player in college lacrosse this season and has put together an incredible career,” Chesapeake General Manager and Head Coach Dave Cottle said. “Patrick possesses tremendous vision, impressive passing ability and simply makes all the players around him better.”
