Friedrich R. Crupe, 80, of Davidsonville, Md., passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
He was born January 4, 1938, a son of Lester and Gladys Crupe, and grew up in Burgettstown.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Christiane Waldkirch Crupe, and a brother and sister-in-law, Denver and Maria Crupe of Orlando, Fla.
He graduated, cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College in 1959 and received his master's degree from American University in 1970.
Fred served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1965 and was honorably discharged as a captain. After his military career, he work in the public sector mainly in the U.S. Departments of Commerce and State, focusing on international trade. During retirement, he was a substitute teacher.
Invariably, Fred will be remembered for his wisdom, commitment to country and investment in the future of the youth.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in the clubhouse at Harbor Hills, Davidsonville. His final resting place will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
