Davidsonville native Pat Spencer (Boys’
Latin) earned recognition as the conference’s Preseason Offensive Player of the
Year.
Spencer,
who was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Player
of the Year Watch List last week, was named the Patriot League Preseason
Offensive Player of the Year. The junior attacker has earned Patriot League
Offensive Player of the Year honors in each of his first two seasons at Loyola
while racking up record-setting numbers.
A First-Team USILA
All-American last year, Spencer set a Loyola and Patriot League record with 55
assists while also scoring 28 goals. He has two of the top-five single-season
point totals in school history after logging 83 last year; as a freshman in
2016, Spencer finished with 89 points to match the 1981 school record set by
Gary Hanley.
