Joseph Conley Whittington (Whitt), 83, a resident of Davidsonville, MD for 60 years, died of natural causes after a lengthy illness on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, where he was surrounded with Family.
Born September 29, 1934 in Deale, MD to the late Joseph Franklin and Agnes Parks Whittington, he worked as a Masonry Contractor for many years. He enjoyed working in the yard, rabbit hunting, watching and playing baseball, shooting pool with his family and playing golf with his Wife and Family.
He is survived by his Wife of 63 years, Barbara Leitch Whittington; a Son, Randy (Sonja) Whittington of Davidsonville, MD; two Daughters, Connie (dec. Johnny) Smith of Shady Side, MD and Linda (Duane) Cecil of Dunkirk, MD, 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by two Sisters, Alice Shaw of Annapolis and Anna Mae Aisquith of Riva. He's preceded in death by a Brother, Carl Whittington and two Sisters, Naomi Stevens and Margorie Parkinson.
Friends are invited to celebrate Whitt's life on Friday, March 2nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 11 A.M., in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the , 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093 or The Davidsonville United Methodist Church Cemetery Perpetual Care Trust Fund, c/o Tim Hopkins, P.O.
