Annapolis Area Christian School senior Maggie Anderson of Davidsonville has signed with Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA to play lacrosse in 2018-19. Anderson has been a 4 year varsity lacrosse player at AACS along with 4 years of varsity field hockey. She has 12 years of playing experience behind her and has received both all-conference and all-county honors in lacrosse. She is also apart of the 2015 and 2016 championship teams.
Anderson chose Liberty for the community and energy she felt while on campus. She knew from early on that this is the place she wanted to go for college. It had everything she was looking for. It was a bigger Christian school close to home with her desired major of interior design. After her visit to the campus, she came home saying "I am going to play there." Playing lacrosse at Liberty had always been her goal.
Since entering AACS in 9th grade, AACS has played a large role in her preparation for college. The challenging academics and spiritual influence has set her on the path for success. Playing field hockey and lacrosse in high school has given her the constant reminder of who we all play for. Athletics has taught her sportsmanship and humility.
"Her leadership role as a captain was exemplified through her skills, discipline, and willingness to lead by example in every aspect of the game. Maggie's tenacity and drive is evident on the field. Without hesitation, I can say that she is a young woman of integrity, probity, and passion." said Women's Lacrosse Ualani Schmitt
Jim Domoracki, Athletic Director said, "Maggie has worked hard throughout her high school years. She's been a good teammate and a good leader. I am happy that her hard work has resulted in this opportunity at Liberty. It is well deserved."
