Leon Jackman Passes Away


    Leon Randolph Jackman, 83, a 30-year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Bowie, MD, died on Friday, February 23, 2018, in Crofton, MD.
    Born August 29, 1934, in Wisconsin, he worked as a Teacher and Guidance Counselor for Prince George's County Public Schools. Leon was a member of the Bowie 
Elks Lodge No 2309. He loved watching football-especially the Green Bay Packers.
    He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Mary Jackman; three children, Scott A. and Christopher J. Jackman and Kim E. Huyer; three stepchildren, Robert E. Devine, III, Christine A. Dixon and Manda M. Edwards; two sisters, Diane Lium and Irene LeClair; and multiple grandchildren.
    Friends are invited to celebrate Leon's life at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, February 28 from 5 to 7 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD on Thursday, March 1 at 11 am. Interment private.
