Davidsonville's Madison Carter had an excellent game and helped the PSU women's lacrosse team advance to the Final Four in the NCAA playoffs. PSU broke a 12-12 tie in the closing minutes with two goals to win 14-12. There were numerous ties and lead changes as neither team was able to dominate until the closing minutes
Penn State will play undefeated U. of MD in their semi-final.

Madison Carter's 69 goals are now the most in a single-season by a sophomore passing the 68 Marsha Florio scored in 1983. They are also the sixth most in a single-season and just 10 behind the Penn State single-season record of 79 also set by Marsha Florio in 1985.
