From the Capital Gazette:
A 39-year-old man was taken to the hospital
with serious injuries Monday following a head-on collision in Davidsonville.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said
firefighters were called to the scene of a two-car crash in the 800 block of
Central Avenue just before 1 p.m.
Responders found two vehicles that had
collided head-on with drivers trapped in both vehicles.
In one car, a 39-year-old man sustained
serious injuries and was trapped inside his car for about 10 minutes, the
department said.
He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center to
be treated for his injuries, which were not considered to be life-threatening,
the department said.
The driver of the second vehicle, a
49-year-old woman, was quickly freed from her SUV by firefighters, the
department said.
She was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center to be treated
for minor injuries.
The department said there
were no passengers in either of the vehicles nor any other injuries as a result
of the crash.
