Free State Fly Fishers Meet Oct. 5

Free State Fly Fishers October 5, 2016 Presentation: Rob Lepczyk, “Tenkara Fly Fishing on the Gunpowder”

Rob hails from the Great Feathers fly shop in Sparks Maryland. Their company provides fly tying and fishing instructions, guide service and has a wide assortment of tying materials from all over the world including feathers, their specialty.  If you want to catch fish on the Gunpowder these are the experts. Rob will be describing a Japanese style of fly fishing called Tenkara

Rob was born and raised in northern Baltimore County fishing his local cold water and warm water fisheries for brown trout, large and small mouth bass, as well as, carp and shad.  “Robby” has been fly fishing and shooting since he could walk, and tying flies since he was eleven.  He has also traveled North America fishing and hunting, from Montana to the Yucatan, New Mexico to Nova Scotia and points in between.  He is endorsed by Orvis and is a Tenakra USA Guide.

Come learn about a rig that allows one to fish when there is very limited space for casting.
