Lois N. Farnsworth, 85, of Chicester NH passed away April 8, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Lois Mae Nelson in Quincy, Mass., to Carl G. and Elizabeth M. Nelson, Lois grew up in East Braintree, Mass., attending Braintree High School and graduating from Thayer Academy in 1948. In 1952, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a bachelor of science in home economics, and an education minor. Having been active in 4-H in her youth, she started her career as an assistant 4-H Club agent for the Cooperative Extension Services in Worcester, Mass.
After marrying Calvin Farnsworth, her husband's career took them to Davidsonville where they lived for a time before returning to the New England area.
