On Sat, Nov 23,, 2013, Tabitha Oakes of Davidsonville participated in the 4th Annual Mid-Atlantic Girls Chess Championship held in Baltimore. Tabitha, a fourth grader and member of the Davidsonville Elementary chess, club took 4th place in the Mid-Atlantic Girls Chess Championship competing against 65 girls in the elementary novice section.
Tabitha is the daughter of Ron and Debbie Oakes.
