The first week of August marks National Farmers Market Week, and there's no better time to visit the Anne Arundel County Farmers' Market and support local producers, many of whom are from Davidsonville. The market has brought specialty products to Anne Arundel County for 40 years. Vendors offer everything from fresh coffee to locally sourced food.
This year, National Farmers Market Week from Aug. 1 to 7
celebrates the resiliency of farmers markets during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amid
challenges with conventional food supply chains at the start of the pandemic,
farmers markets stepped up to meet a growing interest in local foods. Markets
adapted to restrictions with social distancing, regulating traffic flow,
advance ordering systems and more for the safety of vendors and shoppers.
The Annapolis market is located at 275 Harry S. Truman Parkway. It is open Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to noon until Sept. 29 and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon until Dec. 19. It is open Sundays year-round from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Visit the farmers market
website or their Facebook
page for additional info and updates for such things as like inclement weather announcements.
