A motorcycle crashed on eastbound Rt. 50 east of 424 before noon, Sunday May 7. Traffic was closed in both directions for awhile with westbound opening before the eastbound which was not moving for about an hour. Traffic was detoured and backed up cars got by on the shoulder. The eastbound lanes were still closed at 2:30.
Earl Rudolph, age 26, was traveling at a high rate of speed weaving between traffic when he lost control and crashed ending up in one of the traffic lanes. He was pronounced dead on the site.
