Davidsonville resident Joe Matthews, who turned
his previous teams into winners, has been named head coach for the
Arcbishop Spalding girls basketball team. He began coaching boys
basketball at High Point High in PG county, then moved to the Chesapeake
College men's team. He then spent 3 years at Key School and then Pallotti
for the last 2 years before making the switch to girl's basketball.
