Together, with the help of two couples, a D.C. police officer and a young man and woman, a four-legged farm animal was returned to his rightful home.
It all started on Saturday afternoon when Sandra Harris of Davidsonville noticed her fiancé had not made it home yet, so she called him. When he picked up, Jim Anderson was in a state of panic after he spotted a goat on Rutland Road, Harris said.
“I drove by the farm where there is always sheep and goats, and I saw (a goat) was on the wrong side of the fence,” Jim said. “I was frantically trying to get someone on the phone, and the hunt was on.”
