From the Davidsonville-Edgewater Patch:
DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — When owner Steve Koza
unlocked the door of Tropic Bay Water Gardens at 600 West Central Ave. in
Davidsonville June 17, he was greeted by the friendly brown tiger tabby Miles
who lives at the store. Miles darted outside, but sadly hasn't been seen since.
After calling his name and searching high
and low for the feline at the end of business on Monday, Koza realized Miles
was missing and now is frantically trying to find his pet.
"Miles is four, almost five. I've had
him since he was one. He spent his first year on the streets of Baltimore right
where the riots were. He's not afraid of other animals and will stand up to
them. He is very street smart ... he is extremely friendly, sometimes too
friendly," Koza told Patch in an email.
Koza is worried that Miles hopped into
someone's car or the back of a customer's truck, or might have been stolen. He
plans to scroll through security footage to see if they can figure out what
happened to Miles.
"He's such an incredibly wonderful cat. All my customers love
him," Koza told Patch. "He is an incredible animal. I love him so
much!"
Miles should still be wearing a silver and
black breakaway collar with a bell, his rabies tag and a black FOB on it. The
rabies tag number is Lot #17417-10419 Tag #705. He also has a very small nick
at the top of his one ears.
Anyone who has information about Miles can contact
Koza at 410-340-2700 or tropicbay@att.net.
