Elizabeth M. Jones passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on January 18, 2018, in Crownsville, MD. She spent her final days in the company of her loving family.
She was born September 22, 1922, in Greenville, North Carolina, the only daughter of four children to Carroll and Katherine Manning.
She is predeceased by her parents, three brothers, and her beloved husband, Dennis S. Jones Sr. She is survived by her three children: Denise Werner-Hansen, Dennis S. Jones Jr., and John Jones. A proud and devoted mother and grandmother, she is known as "Meemaw" to her large family, which includes seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She wed her teenage sweetheart, Dennis, on September 28, 1939, in Portsmouth, VA. They were happily married for 60 years, until his passing on July 9, 2000.
