Patricia Wrightman Passes Away


On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 Patricia (Pat) Wrightman passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on August 19, 1939 in Washington, DC. She graduated from McKinley High School in In 1957.
She resided at Rutherford Manor in Davidsonville, Maryland for the last 8 1/2 years. Pat worked for the Department of Social Services for a number of years before retiring in 1992. She then moved to Ocean City, Md where she enjoyed semi-retirement working at seasonal businesses.
Her last residence was in Easton, Maryland until she moved to Rutherford Manor. Pat loved to cook and enjoyed the beach. She especially enjoyed spending time with her sisters, children and grandchildren.
She will be truly missed by all of her family. She is survived by her children James (Lisa) Blum, Karen (Scott) Elvidge, Teresa (Steve) Seufert, Steve (Dawn) Blum, her sisters Barbara Dennin and Janet Yates. Her grandchildren Melissa, Michael, Julie, Stephen, Christopher, Samantha and Paige.

She was also preceded in death by her parents James Foster Yates, Winifred Virginia Yates and husband Francis Elder Wightman. We would like to especially thank the caregivers at Rutherford Manor who took such great care of our Mom for this long journey. We are forever grateful to all of them especially Hazel, Diana, Leon and Barbara.
