One
person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a crash Friday
night on Beards Point Road in Davidsonville, a county fire department spokesman
said.
Police and firefighters responded at
10:38 p.m. to Beards Point Road and Beards Creek Court for a report of a
motor vehicle collision with ejection, said fire department Lt. Erik Kornmeyer.
When units arrived they discovered
one person was dead and a 20-year-old man had been ejected from the vehicle,
Kornmeyer said. A 35-year-old woman was trapped inside the vehicle,
he said.
The 20-year-old was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma
Center in Baltimore
with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, Kornmeyer said. Units
extricated the woman from the vehicle in about 10 minutes. She also was
flown to Shock Trauma with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, he
said.
A fourth passenger in the vehicle didn't
require medical treatment.
