Margaret Estelle (Nolan) Kackritz, a 44-year resident of Davidsonville, MD and previously of Bowie, MD, died on November 17, 2015. She was 87. She was born on December 4, 1927 in Baltimore, MD to the late Estelle and Bernard Nolan.
Margaret worked at the Cannon Shoe Company, where she met her husband of 67 years, Gerhart Kackritz. She then worked for Washington Wholesale Distribution and the Mlobe Corporation as an accountant/bookkeeper. In 1971, Gerhart's sister and brother-in-law died unexpectedly leaving three children behind. Margaret and her husband welcomed those children, Anthony "Tony" and Gregory Ebel and Karen (Ebel) Seen into their home and raised them as their own. She also enjoyed doing genealogy for her family and husband and watching her great-nieces.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband who died in 2005 and two brothers, Louis and Bernie Nolan. She is survived by Tony, Greg and Karen, all of Davidsonville; 16 other nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday, November 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 23 at 10am.
