Paul Francis Summers, Jr., 89, a resident of Davidsonville since 1968 and previously of Upper Marlboro, died on Tuesday, September 29 at his home of natural causes.
Born on August 22, 1926 in North Keys, MD to the late Evalina and Paul F. Summers, Sr., Paul graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's degree. He served in the Army Air Corps during W.W. II and later worked as a home builder, developer and realtor. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Summers whom he married in 1959; his children, Margaret S. Lopez of Clarksville and Paul F. Summers, III of Annapolis and his grandchildren, John R. and Andrew R. Lopez both of Clarksville and Caroline A. and Paul F. Summers, IV both of Annapolis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, October 7 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD 21035 with a luncheon immediately following in the church hall. Interment will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to support the ministries at Holy Family Catholic Church.
