Pet owners in Anne Arundel County will be required to make sure
their cats or dogs don’t go hungry or thirsty, under a new law passed this week
by the County Council.
On
a 6-1 vote, the council approved animal protection legislation proposed by
County Executive Steve Schuh. It requires the owners of animals to make food
and water available at all times to prevent dehydration and possible death,
especially in extreme conditions.
