The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County presents the second annual Lights of Kindness, a magical Christmas tree decorating contest, taking place at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, Thursday December 3 through Sunday December 6, during regular business hours.
Visitors are invited to tour the magical Holiday Forest and vote with dollar donations for their favorite decorated tree, representing a local charity. In the spirit of the season, the goal of this event is not only to raise funds for charities, but also acknowledge the efforts of sponsor businesses, striving to make our community a better place. Sponsor businesses, and the charities they support, will be prominently identified, at the base of each decorated tree, on posters, and on the Holiday Forest map.
Voting proceeds will benefit the charities represented, along with programs supported by the South Anne Arundel County Rotary Foundation including: Bountiful Backpacks; the Dictionary Project; the Malawi Water Project; T3 for Haiti educational programs; RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Assembly) and Polio Plus. The community is encouragedto visit the Holiday Forest at Homestead Gardens -- vote -- and enjoy this family oriented event.
