Robert Hunton Passes Away

  

    Robert David Hunton, a longtime resident of Davidsonville, died July 6 at the age of 85.
    He was born March 16, 1929 in Booneville, IN and moved to Washington, DC in 1937. He was a graduate of McKinley High School in Washington and attended the University of MD, and Washington Bible College.
    He married Blanche H. Schwarm in 1950 and their daughter was born in 1953. He served in the Army from 1951-53 and had his career as a supervisory cartographer in the climatology services of the USAF in Washington DC. After retiring, he worked at Nationwide Insurance Company in Annapolis. His hobbies and interests included golf, fishing, carving, flying, and gardening. A life-long church member, he was actively involved in three church plants. He also taught a weekly Bible study at Ginger Cove.
    He is survived by his wife of
64 years, Blanche; one daughter, Sue Klakring; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by one brother and one sister, as well as many nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, at Ginger Cove, 4000 River Crescent Dr., in Annapolis, with a buffet luncheon immediately following. A shuttle bus will be available to accommodate parking on Riva Trace Parkway. There will be a private burial at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
