Anita Radke Gray, 94, a resident of Berlin since 2011 and formerly of Heritage Harbor of Annapolis, died at her residence July 25.
A native of Wisconsin, she attended Whitewater Wisconsin State Teacher College and moved to the Washington area in 1940. After 30 years of service, Anita retired as an employment security advisor from manpower administration at the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
She was a member of the Davidsonville United Methodist Church, Mended Hearts Chapter 94 and N.A.R.F.E. Her interests included quilting, her family and partying with their friends. She was also active with her church. She enjoyed reading, playing canasta and winning at dominoes.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George D. Gray, on January 15, 2013. She is survived by two children, Eleanora Musgrove of Frankford, DE and Daniel Gray of Glen Burnie; 11 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grand children.
Friends are invited to Anita's Life Celebration from 11 a.m. until her funeral service begins at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Davidsonville United Methodist Church.
