Larry Howard Passes Away


    Larry Milford Howard, 67, a resident of Edgewater for 15 years and previously of Silver Spring, died on April 18, 2016, at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. 
    Born on February 13, 1949, in Bethesda, Larry graduated from Springbrook High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army and was a self-employed carpenter most of his life. Larry was a member of American Legion Post 7 in Annapolis and Post 226 in Mayo. Known as a jack of all trades, he enjoyed boating, golfing, crabbing and spending time with his family. 
    Larry was preceded in death by his father, Milford Howard. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Howard; his children, Clint (Jennifer) Howard and Natalie (Sean) Kelly both of Silver Spring, Holly (Curtis) Andrews of Augusta, GA, Larisa (Wilson) Santis of Riva and Tara Howard of Edgewater; his mother, Bertha Howard of Silver Spring; his siblings, Wayne, Steve and Joyce Howard all of Silver Spring; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jack, Parker, Beckham, Voe, Whitney, Paisley, Jenna, Sarenity and Kensington and one great-granddaughter, Adalyn. 
    Friends are invited to celebrate Larry's life from 6 to 9pm on Wednesday at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, April 21 at Davidsonville United Methodist Church in Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the , 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060 or the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.
