South River High School’s Robotics team, the PowerHawks, are having an information night for prospective students and parents on May 6 at 6:00 PM. Stop by the tech ed room to learn more about the PowerHawks who were founded in 2003.Their main goal is for the students to improve their science, technology, engineering, and math skills, learn to cooperatively problem solve, and develop self-confidence, communication skills, and leadership skills. As part of US First Robotics, a nationwide program for middle and high school students, students will have an opportunity to compete at sports-like events against other robotics teams from the region and country.
