Ronald Hoffmann Passes Away

 
   Ronald V. Hoffmann, 76, a 20-year resident of Davidsonville and formerly of Selby on the Bay, died at home May 9 after a 3 year illness.
    Born December 13, 1937 to the late Frank and Susan Hoffmann, Ronald graduated from Anacostia High School then attended the University of Maryland. He was the owner of his own HVAC sheet metal shop in Davidsonville. Ronald served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1963 where he was an expert rifleman. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, watching football, riding tractors, taking pictures, fishing, hunting, trap shooting and bowling.
    Ronald is survived by his son, David M. Hoffmann of Davidsonville; brother, Frank Hoffmann of Ft. Myers, FL; grandson, David Hoffmann, Jr. of LaPlata; and granddaughter, Kayla Hoffmann of LaPlata.
    A public viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 15. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
