On Oct. 5-6, the first Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium was held at Pimlico under the guidance of Steaurt Pittman of Davidsonville.
Retired Racehorse TrainingProject founder and president, Steaurt Pittman (above) says this gathering is the first time the versatility and trainability of Thoroughbred ex-racehorses has been showcased for the general public. The Davidsonville based organization says the effort is designed to increase the popularity of and demand for ex-racehorses in the marketplace, preventing them from entering America's population of "unwanted horses."
