Patuxent River Road between Sands Road and Queen Anne Bridge Road near Davidsonville likely will be closed through the weekend, officials with the county Department of Public Works said Wednesday.
The road was closed Tuesday night due to high waters, which rose a few more feet Wednesday, officials said.
With a major storm expected to move through the area Wednesday night into Thursday, with heavy winds, hail and rain, the situation probably will get worse, the department said.
